Make a difference with a gift to the Oregon Law Fund
The 2011-12 academic year has just begun here at the University of Oregon School of Law. This summer, after ten years on the faculty at Oregon Law, Michael Moffitt began his service as Dean. And an incoming class of 183 first year students arrived to join the ranks of our student body and illustrious alumni.
Oregon Law is poised to be a leader in legal education in the state, region, and nation. We have ambitious plans to expand students’ access to relevant courses and improve their opportunities for meaningful practice experience. We aim to maximize the impact of our faculty’s research, service, and student mentoring. We are strengthening Oregon Law’s linkages with the university, with the community, with the Bar, and with the broader professional world. We look to strengthen our connection with our school’s alumni and friends who are a critical link to our success.
Student tuition and state support, however, will not provide us with enough resources to realize Oregon Law’s potential.
To help close this gap we have established the Oregon Law Fund. The Oregon Law Fund is built through private unrestricted gifts from our generous alumni and friends. The fund will allow the law school to support areas where resources might otherwise be limited. The Oregon Law Fund provides the law school with the flexibility and means to meet the constantly changing needs of legal education.
Please consider supporting this fund generously on an annual basis. Information on giving to Oregon Law, including ways to give online, can be found on our Alumni Website at www.uoregonlaw.com/giving. Your support will help provide law students and faculty with some of the resources they need to excel.
On behalf of our entire law school community, thank you for all that you do for legal education.
