Kelly Sparks Named Associate Dean for Finance and Operations
Oregon Law is pleased to welcome Kelly Sparks as Associate Dean for Finance and Operations. Sparks began her full-time work with the School of Law in early June.
Sparks brings a wealth of experience working in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors. Prior to joining Oregon Law, Sparks served as the co-founder and executive director for the Peacock Family Center, a child care and family support center in the greater Seattle area. From 2001 to 2009, Sparks served as the vice president of finance for Nordstrom where she managed multiple functions in the areas of strategy and financial planning and analysis, including Nordstrom’s product development strategy, merchandising strategy, and the re-design of Nordstrom’s corporate budget models. Prior to joining Nordstrom, Sparks was a strategy consultant for the retail sector and worked in business development at Coach Leatherware.
“I am honored to be joining the Oregon Law School team,” Sparks said. “I look forward to collaborating with faculty and administrative staff, supporting the academic institution and sharing my financial planning and administrative expertise.”
Sparks earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Oregon, and holds an MBA and MA in East Asian Studies from Washington University in St. Louis.
