Oregon Bar Passage Rate above Statewide Average

The University of Oregon School of Law is proud to announce that 80 percent of Oregon Law graduates passed this summer’s Oregon State Bar Examination.

According to data released by the Oregon State Bar, Oregon Law’s first-time bar examination passage rate is 80.4 percent, compared to the first-time state average of 78.8 percent.

Oregon Law’s overall passage rate is 75.2 percent, 3.2 percent higher than the statewide average of 72 percent.

“The School of Law is incredibly proud of its graduates who passed the Bar,” Dean Michael Moffitt said. “The school remains committed to providing support and resources to our students, with the hope that we will achieve even higher pass rates in the future.”

Oregon Law’s standing committee on Academic and Professional Success coordinates with the Center for Career Planning and Professional Development as a part of the school’s holistic approach to students’ professional success. This includes work with the Oregon Bar Exam.

Results are calculated among students who took the state bar examination in July 2011.
