Visiting/Study Abroad

Occasionally, a UO Law Student may choose to study as a visiting student with another ABA-accredited law school. Frequently, such visits away from UO involve participating in pre-approved summer study abroad programs.

To qualify, a student must have successfully completed the first year curriculum and have at least a 2.30 cumulative grade point average. The student must gain acceptance as a visitor to the other law school, be approved for the visit by the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, and obtain the Assistant Dean's approval of the intended courses. The process of application and approval can be lengthy. Please contact the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs at least six months prior to the desired visit time. More information and a Request to Visit form can be located on MyLaw.
