Domestic Violence 101 Community Training

This training will highlight the dynamics of domestic violence. Participants will learn the many types of abuse suffered by victims and understand why some victims remain in abusive relationships. Participants will also temporarily experience life as a woman experiencing violence to help us connect to the day-to-day reality for women experiencing violence and deepen our empathy and compel us to take action. Additionally, attendees will learn to recognize some of the myths surrounding domestic violence.

Please join the Domestic Violence Clinic in welcoming NCADV survivor speaker Rachel Bustamante for a lunch time talk. Rachel is a native Oregonian that endured 11 years at the hands of her now ex-husband and would like to share some of the barriers that she faced while trying to become free from her abuser.
Rachel's presentation will be followed up with time for Q & A.
