Start-Up Business

This course is designed to familiarize students with common issues that arise in the course of representing start-up businesses. Going beyond the black letter law, this course will draw on the real world expertise of practitioners with substantial experience in the variety of issues that start-up lawyers encounter, in areas such as business contracts, private and bank financing, dealing with stakeholders, including founders, controlling stockholders and other third parties, creating legal compliance programs, mergers and acquisitions, the creation and protection of IP, and privacy protection.
