Kay Crider has more than twenty years of experience representing clients on environmental and business matters prior to joining the faculty at the University of Oregon in 2010. Her legal experience includes work as House Counsel & Development Director for a conservation organization, and representation of businesses and individuals as an associate and then a capital partner at a large law firm. During her third year of law school, she was a judicial clerk for the Honorable Donald P. O'Connell and Executive Articles Editor of the Law Review. She teaches law for the Lundquist College of Business and the School of Law at the University of Oregon. Kay received her B.A. in environmental biology from the University of California at Santa Barbara and her J.D. from IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law.
