Pro Tem Instructor
Jay D. Hall currently serves as Senior Deputy District Attorney with the Lane County District Attorney’s Office and is a team leader for the Misdemeanor Team which has six attorneys. Mr. Hall graduated Magna Cum Laude with departmental honors from the University of Oregon, with a focus in Political Science and Game Theory, and received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Oregon School of Law. Prior to receiving his education, Mr. Hall was a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, serving in FAST Company (Fleet Antiterrorism Security Teams). Mr. Hall was deployed with FAST Company on various missions in the Middle East, and later became an instructor for officers in advanced combat training in Quantico, Virginia. When his service ended, Mr. Hall was recruited by Congressman C.W. Bill Young to be a legislative assistant in Congressman Young’s Washington D.C. office. Mr. Hall worked primarily on veteran and constituent issues for two years before moving back to Oregon in order to finish his education. Mr. Hall also spent two years as a Reserve Deputy Sheriff in Deschutes County, Oregon prior to attending law school. He is a member of the Oregon Bar the recipient of the 2010 Wildlife Prosecutor of the Year Award.
