Brief scholarly biography:
Kristie Gibson is the administrative director of the LL.M. program at Oregon Law. She teaches the LL.M. Seminar, a course that focuses on legal research, writing, professional development, and practice in the U.S. legal system.
Prior to joining Oregon Law, Ms. Gibson was an attorney with the firm of Gartland, Nelson, McCleery & Wade, P.C. (GNMW) in Eugene, and she served as in-house counsel for Gibson Holders, Inc. for nine years, prior to joining GNMW.
Ms. Gibson is a graduate of the University of Oregon (B.A. political science), the University of Oregon School of Law (J.D.), Willamette University College of Law (LL.M. Transnational Law), and she studied Chinese Law and Legal Systems at East China University of Political Science and Law in Shanghai, China. She is a past-president of the Lane County Bar Association and serves on the House of Delegates of the Oregon State Bar and on the board of the Oregon Women Lawyers Foundation.
