Oregon Review of International Law publishes articles that analyze connections between social, economic, and political forces and touch on a variety of issues, including human rights, international trade, and international business. We welcome a diversity of topics and opinions.

We accept article submissions from professors and practitioners on a rolling basis.

The Oregon Review of International Law (ORIL) will also accept submissions for review from a person who holds a JD or an international law degree, such as an LLB, regardless of whether such person is currently a student. For example, ORIL will accept submissions from LLM or PhD students with a JD or LLB degree, but ORIL will not accept submissions from students studying to obtain a JD or LLB.

Submission Process

ORIL strongly prefers manuscripts to be submitted through Scholastica, but submissions are also accepted via e-mail. Submissions should include a cover letter and a resume or CV.

All submissions should be double-spaced, twelve-point font, with footnotes. Citations should conform to The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (21st ed. 2020) and The Chicago Manual of Style (17th ed. 2017).

Digitized issues from 1999 to present are available from HeinOnline (login required).
