Students seeking an in-depth knowledge of public service law and wanting to engage in hands-on, practice-based coursework, should consider obtaining a Public Interest Public Service Statement of Completion.
The PIPs Statement of Completion is available only to members of the Class of 2014. Students in the Classes of 2015 and beyond may earn either a Statement of Completion in Public Interest Law or Public Policy Law through the Public Interest Law and Policy Center.
A student in the Class of 2014 is eligible for a Statement of Completion in Public Interest and Public Service Law upon graduation if the student fulfills the requirements identified below:
In order to earn either a statement of completion in public interest public service a student must: 1)take courses from an established curriculum; 2)complete a public service requirement; complete a seminar attendance requirement; and 4)report documentation of compliance with program requirements as indicated below.

Public Interest Public Service Statement of Completion
Students planning to apply for the Public Interest and Public Service Law Certificate should (1) notify the Public Interest Law and Policy Center Managing Director as soon as possible; (2) report all pro bono hours using MyLaw and submit a print-out of pro bono hours with this form; (3) report all public service hour and submit a copy with this form; and (4) deliver this completed PIPS form to the Student Affairs Office by April 6th to receive your PIPS Statement of Completion by graduation.
Faculty members on the Public Interest Public Service Statement of Completion Committee are: Adell Amos, Stuart Chinn, Susan Gary and Leslie Harris. Faculty members review Certificate Compliance information and make all final decisions on issuance of PIPS Certificates.
