Biography: Barry Nobel worked as a family mediator in the public and private sectors for more than two decades. He has taught Mediation & Mindfulness at Portland State University, as well as courses in law, ethics, and religion at the University of Puget Sound, Linfield College, Santa Barbara College of Law, and the University of California, Santa Barbara. In the more distant past, he served as a judicial clerk in U.S. District Court, worked as the Program Coordinator of the Alameda County Bar Association's Volunteer Legal Services Program, and maintained a private law practice. Barry earned his B.A. from Princeton University, his J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law, and his M.A. and Ph.D. in Religious Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
