Laura McGinnis is a media relations and public relations professional. At Oregon Law, she handles media relations and communications, having previously supported media relations for the university as a whole. In her career, Laura has led media relations for world-class political campaigns, issues, and events. Her work has been recognized with three social media awards, including two Shorty Awards for “Best Charity” and “Best Campaign Video,” a Mashable for “Must-Follow Non-profit,” and a New York Times piece that earned an Emmy nomination. A campaign she helped to create in partnership with AT&T, LiveProud, also earned a PRSA Silver Anvil Award.
Laura holds a B.S. in Business Administration, Marketing from the University of Delaware and is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists, National Association of Hispanic Journalists, and the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association. She is currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration and Certificate of Nonprofit Management from the University of Oregon.
