Ms. Scott has been a practicing appellate and business bankruptcy attorney for over a decade. After graduating fourth in her law school class from the University of Oregon in 2002, she clerked for now-retired Justice Dave Brewer when he served on the Oregon Court of Appeals. She also externed for and worked with federal district judge Ann Aiken and her staff, including now magistrate judge Jolie Russo. Ms. Scott has practiced before all of Oregon’s bankruptcy judges as well as arguing cases before the Oregon Court of Appeals and Oregon Supreme Court. She and her husband competed in the Duberstein National Bankruptcy Moot Court competition during law school in addition to serving on Oregon Law Review. Ms. Scott taught students as an adjunct Legal Research and Writing professor in 2005-2006 before returning to private practice. She’s served on numerous committees and is a frequent speaker and contributor to the Oregon State Bar’s Debtor-Creditor newsletter.
