“The Order of the Coif is the most prestigious academic recognition in the legal profession. Each of these students has demonstrated strength of character, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to academic excellence that represents the best of Oregon Law. I look forward to the great accomplishments that lie ahead for each of these newly elected members of the Coif,” said Michael Moffitt, Dean of Oregon Law.

Considered the highest academic honor to be bestowed upon a law student, the Order of the Coif is a national honor society for law school graduates at member institutions. The National Order of the Coif was established in 1912, and 86 of the nation’s accredited law schools have chapters. Oregon Law founded its chapter in 1934 and remains the only school in Oregon to bestow this highest honor.
