Biography

Pete Frost is a staff attorney with the Western Environmental Law Center in its Eugene office, and serves as an instructor for the Environmental Law Clinic. He graduated from Stanford University and earned his law degree from the University of Oregon. From 1992 to 1999, he was an attorney for the National Wildlife Federation in its Western regional office in Portland.

Pete has litigated in federal trial and appellate courts in cases involving the Wilderness Act, the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act, the Endangered Species Act, the Clean Water Act, the National Forest Management Act, the National Environmental Policy Act, and the 1872 Mining Law. Pete is a recipient of the David Brower Lifetime Achievement Award for environmental litigation.
