In 2013, the UO School of Law rolled out the Public Law and Policy Program.
The PLP Program built a foundation for a comprehensive program that bolsters UO Law students’ interest in public interest law, public sector legal work, and public policy.
Oregon Law has long encouraged students’ public service through its Pro Bono Program, Oregon Law Students Public Interest Fund, and the Loan Repayment Assistance Program.
PLP brings these groups together under one umbrella, and offers academic concentrations in Public Interest Law and Law and Public Policy, student fellowships, engaging policy-focused events for the law school community, and valuable experience in the law school’s Nonprofit Clinic.
