Leadership in the Law Fellowship

Advance the goals and initiatives of the Frohnmayer Leadership Program.


Eligible applicants must be preparing to enter their first year in the JD Program at the University of Oregon School of Law or are currently enrolled 2Ls or 3Ls. Fellows are selected on the basis of demonstrated interest in leadership development and skills and experiences that can support the mission and efforts of the Frohnmayer Leadership Program.

Award Amount


  • $2,500.00 awarded at the beginning of fall semester
  • $2,500.00 awarded at the beginning of spring semester

Fellowship Projects

Coordinating leadership retreats, planning workshops, creating the monthly “Leader Ledger” newsletter, coordinating the Leadership Coaching program, planning reading dinners with alumni, and supporting TEDxUOregon.


All fellowship appointments are for one academic year and require a minimum commitment of 80 hours.

How to Apply

Submit a statement of interest and a resume. Your statement of interest should be 250 to 750 words in length and describe your interests in leadership development and what you believe you offer to the initiatives of the FLP.

Your name (as stated on your application for admission) must be included on your statement of interest.

Fellowship applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and continue until the fellowships are filled.
