Gain direct experience working with sports-focused organizations, legal departments, and industry partners on issues like compliance, representation, and league operations. Our externships connect you to the day-to-day work of counseling teams, managing compliance, supporting athletes, and navigating complex regulatory environments.
Strengthen your advocacy, negotiation, and strategy skills through sports-related moot court, arbitration, and contract negotiation competitions. You’ll argue, draft, and negotiate scenarios modeled on disputes and deals in the sports industry.
Work with real clients on active legal matters under faculty supervision. Students manage cases, advise clients, and build practical skills relevant to careers in the sports industry.
Step into the role of counsel in high-impact simulations based on real sports law problems—handling negotiations, NIL issues, compliance decisions, and governance challenges in realistic, fast-paced environments.
Courses integrate legal doctrine with applied training through case studies, industry guest speakers, and interactive exercises to build the skills sports lawyers use every day.
Earn credit in a transformative summer program that brings together leading sports law scholars, industry executives, and students from across the country.
