After law school, Felipe moved from Washington, D.C., to Austin, Texas, where he initially worked in state government and then moved to private practice. He focused primarily on public utilities operating in the gas and electric industries. When Felipe relocated to Oregon, he continued in the energy industry with a Portland firm, where he represented energy clients throughout the Pacific Northwest. Upon moving to Eugene, Felipe expanded his practice areas to include business and general civil law.

Felipe is excited to share his varied experience with students and graduates and believes this background gives him insight into what employers are seeking from job candidates.

Active in the community, Felipe is a member of the Oregon Hispanic Bar Association, the Oregon Minority Lawyers Association, and Oregon Women Lawyers.  Felipe also volunteers for Catholic Charities – Immigration Legal Services.  He looks forward to continuing to develop relationships both inside and outside the law school in order to assist students in defining and achieving their career goals.

Felipe earned his Juris Doctor from The George Washington University and his Bachelor of Arts in History from Baylor University.  Felipe is a Texan by birth, but has lived throughout the  United States as a member of a military family.
