Biography

Felipe Alonso III joined the University of Oregon School of Law in 2018. Felipe spent the majority of his legal career practicing administrative law in the regulatory energy field. After law school, Felipe moved from Washington, D.C., to Austin, Texas, where he initially worked in state government and then moved to private practice. He focused primarily on public utilities operating in the gas and electric industries. When Felipe relocated to Oregon, he continued in the energy industry where he represented utilities throughout the Pacific Northwest.
 
Active in the community, Felipe serves as executive board member of the Lane County Bar Association, is a member of the Oregon Hispanic Bar Association and Oregon Women Lawyers. Felipe has served in various roles in the National Association of Law Placement, including Conference Planning Team, Nominating Committee, and West/Rocky Mountain Representative, Regional Resource Council. 
 
Felipe earned his Juris Doctor from The George Washington University law School and his Bachelor of Arts in History from Baylor University.
