Transfer & Visitor Applicants

Whether for a semester or two years, welcome!

If you want to expand your opportunities, come study at the University of Oregon School of Law where you'll build upon your legal education and enhance your professional network.  At Oregon Law, you'll have the chance to engage in multiple programs nationally recognized for their excellence, including Environmental and Natural Resources Law, Appropriate Dispute Resolution, Legal Research and Writing, and Public Service Initiatives.

One Law School, Two Campuses: Eugene and Portland

Oregon Law offers you two locations to study: an outstanding university town ... or a bustling metropolis. In Eugene, you can be a part of a lively and energetic community perfectly positioned between the Cascade Mountains and the Pacific coast. Eugene boasts amazing options usually found in cities of much larger size including the Saturday Market, the oldest weekly open-air market in the United States. Most are within easy walking or biking distance of campus. Experience whitewater rafting, fishing, skiing, hiking, running, and rock climbing—all minutes from your doorstep. We even have whitewater on campus, right next to Autzen Stadium—home of the Oregon Ducks.

Big-city advantages lie just to the north, where you can spend your third year at our campus in downtown Portland—and benefit from a rich array of professional networking opportunities. Oregon Law's second campus is in the university's historic White Stag Block, right on the waterfront and close to all the city has to offer.

Oregon Law welcomes applications from students who wish to transfer to or visit at the law school for a semester or a year in either your second or third year. You may apply to transfer to Oregon Law as a second-year law student after completing your first year at another ABA-approved law school. Learn more about how to apply HERE.

The University of Oregon School of Law has no established articulation agreements with any other ABA accredited law school.

We offer a competitive scholarship program for students who transfer to Oregon Law. The Application for transfer and visiting students is available at LSAC.org, or by clicking on the "Application" link below. The application is free.

We look forward to reviewing your application. If you have any questions, please contact us admissions@law.uoregon.edu.
