Megan G. Thompson teaches Federal Jurisdiction at Oregon Law. She has worked as a career law clerk and staff attorney with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit for more than ten years, including as the career law clerk to Judge Alfred T. Goodwin. She previously was a visiting assistant professor at Oregon Law and a term law clerk to Judges Milan D. Smith, Jr., and Alfred T. Goodwin of the Ninth Circuit and David Schuman of the Oregon Court of Appeals. She received her J.D. from Oregon Law (Order of Coif) and her B.A. from Oberlin College. Before attending law school, she worked in domestic and sexual violence prevention and survivor advocacy. She has also taught Civil Procedure, Advanced Appellate Advocacy, Women and the Law, and Children and the Law at Oregon Law.
