Biography

Megan G. Thompson teaches Federal Jurisdiction at Oregon Law. She works as a staff attorney with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, where she also served as the permanent law clerk to Judge Alfred T. Goodwin from 2012-22. She previously was a visiting assistant professor at Oregon Law, and a term law clerk to Judges Milan D. Smith, Jr., and Alfred T. Goodwin of the Ninth Circuit and David Schuman of the Oregon Court of Appeals. She received her J.D. from Oregon Law (Order of Coif) and her B.A. from Oberlin College. Before attending law school, she worked in domestic and sexual violence prevention and survivor advocacy. She has also taught Civil Procedure, Advanced Appellate Advocacy, Women and the Law, and Children and the Law at Oregon Law.
