You came to Oregon Law to learn the law. The Oregon Law Career Center will help you discover what career you want to pursue, where you want to practice and how to get there.
Through a variety of resources and services, the Career Center guides all Oregon Law students as they explore career options, connect with employers, and advance from law school to the professional world. The Career Center also supports graduates considering a professional transition and provides information and customized services to employers and the legal community.
Whatever your interests – private practice, business law, public interest organizations, environmental work, judicial clerkships, or non-law jobs – you will find excellent resources and expert guidance to assist you at every step along your career path. Our primary objectives are to help you define and achieve your goals.
The Career Center professionals have developed expertise through their work in a variety of legal settings, including large and small private law firms, government offices, nonprofit organizations, and judicial chambers. This prior experience provides a strong foundation for understanding the needs of legal employers. They use that understanding to identify students and alumni who match employers' needs and to help students and alumni in applying for, securing, and succeeding in those positions.
