Navigating Early Careers in Legal Writing
A virtual LWI One-Day Workshop hosted by University of Oregon School of Law
Friday, December 3, 8:30am–2:00pm (Pacific)
PROGRAM
Thank you for joining us for a full day of virtual presentations and conversations centered around the theme (Not) Just Visiting: Navigating Early Careers in Legal Writing.
Our LWI One-Day Workshop focused specifically on Visiting Assistant Professors (VAPs) and featured presentations from experienced and new professors on teaching, scholarship, the job search, and service and connections to the national community. Professor Tom Cobb, Director of Legal Writing at Mitchell Hamline, and Mary Bowman, Clinical Professor of Law at ASU Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law, delivered midday plenaries. The workshop closed with a rare opportunity for current VAPs to share their experiences with and learn from other VAPs in an open roundtable discussion.
