Hans Linde, retired Oregon Supreme Court justice and former professor at the University of Oregon School of Law, died August 31 in Portland. He was 96. 

Sarah Adams is an assistant professor at the University of Oregon School of Law. She is part of the Environmental and Natural Resource Law Center.

This story reflects 2021 rankings, for 2022 rankings, please see the March 30, 2021 article. Oregon Law: The annual national ranking of law schools was just released by U.S. News and World Report.  Three University of Oregon Law programs are ranked in the nation’s top 10: Legal Writing (#2), Environmental Law (#6), and Dispute Resolution (#10). 

Oregon Law: University of Oregon School of Law alumni found success on bar exams all across the country in 2019.  Of those alumni who sat for a bar exam for the first time, 85.6% passed, which is the highest overall pass rate in the state.

The Honorable David Brewer served on the Oregon Supreme Court from 2013-2017, when he retired from the bench.

This August, four new faculty members -- Sarah Adams, Angela Addae, Howard Arnett and Latisha Nixon-Jones -- will join Oregon Law.

Mirror, mirror on the wall, who has the cutest pet of them all? That is the all-important question that the Oregon Law community is deciding this week.The Student Animal Legal Defense Fund at the School of Law is holding the “Cutest Pet Competition” to raise funds for the local Green Hill Humane Society.

Oregon Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum is the distinguished speaker for the University of Oregon School of Law commencement on Saturday, May 18. The 2019 commencement ceremony is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. at Matthew Knight Arena.
