Established in 2006, the Rennard Strickland Lecture Series is sponsored by the Environmental and Natural Resources Law Center, the Wayne Morse Center for Law and Politics, and the Native American Law Student Association to honor the legacy of the law school's former dean and Distinguished Professor Emeritus Rennard Strickland by examining native leadership and vision for environmental stewardship in the 21st century. This year's speaker is Dean James Anaya from the University of Colorado Boulder Law School.

SEDD continues our comparative skills exploration of environmental disputes with a combination presentation and practice session on facilitation next month. I will lead with: there should be food! Facilitation is a little different in function than negotiation or mediation, so we will be taking a mediated agreement we reached at our last session and looking at how facilitation can assist with maintaining and implementing those agreements.
