The Public Interest Environmental Law Conference (PIELC) at the University of Oregon is the oldest and largest such conference in the world. Organized annually by dedicated students of Land Air Water, the environmental law society at Oregon Law, PIELC gathers thousands of concerned people--students and educators, activists and advocates, public officials and attorneys, scientists and storytellers--to exchange ideas and develop strategies for more effectively furthering the inextricable goals of environmental and social justice.
PIELC 2024 will take place at the University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon from Friday, March 1, to Sunday, March 3, 2024. This year's conference theme is "Cultivating Community." Attendance is free and open to the public.
The Environmental and Natural Resources Law Center (ENR) will support several PIELC activities. Additionally, ENR will host an Open House on Friday, March 1. This is an opportunity for PIELC attendees to learn more about our program in an informal setting. The Open House will take place in the ENR Center (Suite 225, Knight Law Center) from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. Light refreshments will be available.
