In order to be considered for admission to the 2018 Oregon Law Summer Sports Institute, you will need to complete an online application.
Applications are subject to a non-refundable fee of $50. This fee applies to all students, even current UO law students. Payment of the fee must be completed by credit or debit card.
Before you apply, you'll want to gather several documents and save them in PDF format. The required documents consist of the following:
- An updated resume.
- A copy of your most recent transcript. (If you are a first-semester 1L and have not yet received any law school grades, you may instead upload a brief note indicating that you will send us your grades when they become available in January or February. Please email them to Institute director Rob Illig.)
- A letter from your home school dean or registrar that confirms that you are a law student in good academic standing.
- A cover letter from you that tells us anything else you think is important that we cannot learn from your resume and transcript. Do you have a background in sports or entertainment? Why are you interested in the program? What do you hope to achieve by attending? Just tell us whatever you'd like us to know.
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis beginning in November and continuing through May. Enrollment space is limited. Although applications may be accepted at any time, preference will be given to those who apply early.
