Kathryn Fahrion is a mediator and mediation trainer, primarily focused on domestic relations and restorative justice. Kat teaches family mediation for the CRES program as well as a variety of mediation technique workshops through her private practice, and provides court-connected domestic relations mediation for several Oregon counties. She currently serves as an ex officio member of the Oregon Bar's ADR executive committee.
Kat received both her Master's of Conflict and Dispute Resolution and Juris Doctorate from the University of Oregon School of Law in 2020. Her terminal project was development of a mediation styles seminar covering a wide range of techniques from transformative mediation to arbitration hybrids. Kat served as the Offender Information and Sentence Computation Administrator for the Oregon Department of Corrections from 2021 until 2022 and continues to provide support for rehabilitation and restorative justice resources. She has mediated hundreds of cases ranging from parenting plan development to labor strikes to animal husbandry, and provides conflict coaching services for a wide range of dispute communication issues.
