Rebekah Hanley has been a faculty member at the University of Oregon School of Law since 2004; she also served as the school’s Assistant Dean for Career Planning and Professional Development for four years. Earlier in her career, Professor Hanley clerked for the Honorable Dean D. Pregerson in the Central District of California; practiced law in Los Angeles with Munger, Tolles & Olson; and later clerked for the Honorable Harry Pregerson, United States Circuit Judge for the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Professor Hanley is a dynamic speaker, appearing frequently at national and state conferences, both for academics and for practitioners. She is currently serving as President-Elect of the national Association of Legal Writing Directors. She was co-chair of a national conference of the Legal Writing Institute and is also active with the Association of American Law Schools.
