The University of Oregon School of Law welcomes Felipe Alonso, III as Associate Director of Career Planning & Professional Development.
Alonso began his legal career in Texas where he worked for the state government and in private practice focusing on energy regulatory law. In 2015, he relocated to Portland, Ore. to work for McDowell Rackner Gibson PC, representing utilities in Oregon, Washington and Alaska. He most recently worked with Bassinger and Harvey Attorneys at Law in Eugene.
"Felipe's 14-year legal career in two jurisdictions and working for various private and public employers has given him extensive insight into what employers are looking for from candidates," said Rebecca Ivanoff, Assistant Dean of the Center for Career Planning & Professional Development. "He is a great fit for the mission of the Career Center."
Alonso graduated from Baylor University with a bachelor's degree in Arts and History. He received his J.D. from George Washington University School of Law.
